If you would prefer to undertake the revised qualification structure, this may be available from other learning providers after September 1st 2026. Click this link to see the revised structure qualification guide.
See email contacts below if you would like more information.

DEADLINE TO APPLY: April 18th 2026
No commitment necessary at this stage.
First come first served seats for complete and accepted applications.
More information is in the information pack and application forms can be found below.
Please ensure you use the latest form to ensure your application is accepted (see Application Form 2026 V2 button below).

DEADLINE TO ENROL: May 15th 2026
Commitment and seats must be locked in for new TTT learners.
Enrolment includes: application accepted, interview conducted (if required), enrolment forms signed and returned, appropriate invoice paid and ID checked / ID check date booked.
Some applicants may be asked to do an entry question to showcase research, interpretation and communication skills, ensuring this is the right course for you at this time.
If you enrol with The Training Tree, this deadline gives you plenty of time to enjoy Peter Thomas’ Trees their natural history (ideally the 2nd edition). We may also give you some optional early course work so you can get ahead if you like.

COURSE START DATE: July 4th 2026
Includes the 1st live online group teaching tutorial.
Times TBC - optional attendance but highly recommended (we aim to record and make available group tutorials but sometimes IT does it's own thing). These live sessions are where you get to interact with other professionals, ask questions, get a nuanced approach to learning and to feel part of a community.

There are a limited number of virtual seats as we are prioritising:
- existing and ex-learners who are extending / returning to complete under the current qualification structure and
- full diploma applicants (award or certificate only applicants will only be accepted if room allows and certain conditions can be met - please see important notes below).

As this is the last time this particular level 4 qualification format will be run,
we are not offering course extensions or future course transfer dates
and therefore commitment to achieving a full diploma on this cohort is highly recommended.
Transfers or top ups to the new qualification structure are not guaranteed to run by The Training Tree.
Any transfers or tops ups from the existing structure to the new structure will require a redo of portions of portfolios already assessed as complete, as well as additional / revised assessments to undertake. Additional consultancy fees may also apply for mapping across the structures.
We do not currently have any firm plans to launch under the new structure.
ADDITIONAL INFO AND CONTACTS
Please ensure you read all the relevant information here, including course fees, timings, reading list requirements and important qualification structure changes). Application forms can also be found there.

If you really, really, really have a burning question that's not answered by the info pack at the link, please message us (after of course, you have double double checked the question isn't already answered in our in-depth, online info pack).
Priority is given to applicants who show great study skills, a keenness to research for themselves and fabulous common sense. This course requires much study time alone (with support) or remotely in small groups so it's important to start in a way that shows us you can actually finish and achieve - that's success!
Saying that, we do love questions! (and answers).
